In June, 2021, AFCI Nigeria held a seminar designed to bring spiritual renewal and training to local Christian leaders and workers. They came together to receive instruction on evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development.

The workers and leaders came from nine different denominations and included the AFCI Nigeria team and their spouses, as well as a local religious leader. They all gathered together at a youth center on the outskirts of IIorin, Nigeria.

Rev. Samson Olushola, AFCI Nigeria National Director, presented a series on “Messengers and Messages of Hope in Days of National Crisis” based on the lives of Moses, Elijah and the Apostle Paul. His wife, Serah, also led sessions for the women. The response from the students was very positive:

“[The training] has helped me in many areas. It has increased my knowledge of the Word of God and equipped me with skills in understanding [how to] present the Gospel. It has built up my confidence in leadership and service within the church ministries.”

And …

“[The training] was one of the best I’ve ever attended in my life … Sister Serah shared with us on godly roles of women in the home, church and society. I was blessed – it has opened my eyes. I have benefited much.”

Samson closes his report by thanking those who support the ministry of AFCI Nigeria, “We give all the praise to God … your prayers, your support, and your encouragement has kept us and enabled us to have a successful, meaningful, and purposeful Leadership Seminar.”
