In May, the AFCI North Africa team partnered with a Presbyterian church in a major city to conduct a two-day outreach event, providing students an opportunity for practical ministry training.

The event was led by the pastor of the church, who is also a teacher at the Faith Institute (FI), a formal Bible school established in the region by AFCI. Thirty local believers along with a number of FI students supported the outreach activities. They visited 150 homes in the area, sharing the Gospel and distributing ten thousand books, including copies of the New Testament and More Than a Carpenter by Josh McDowell. Home visits included an invitation to attend an open-air evangelistic meeting the following day.

The open-air meeting was attended by 1,300 people, and a total of 150 decisions for Christ were documented from both the home visits and the meeting. Those who received Christ were registered for discipleship groups with support from FI students and are now attending local churches. A highlight from the event was when a local sorcerer came forward to receive Christ and asked to be baptized.
