Pursuing the Vision
Under the leadership of AFCI North Africa, the Faith Institute has been preparing men and women for ministry since 1991. This year, they had the largest graduating class since they began – over 150 students, including the first three graduates from the BA program.
One graduate, John, shares about the significance of the Faith Institute on his ministry:
“Before joining the Institute, my ministry helping new believers in their spiritual growth was limited. What I learned during my school years had a profound impact on my social interaction with others and on my ministry. I became a qualified leader with a better understanding of how to deal with difficult personalities in the church. I learned the importance of teaching the Bible to the people of God. I started to teach the Word of God from the pulpit and through Bible study groups. I also used the courses I was taught to train other leaders in my church.
“My ministry does not stop inside the church. We carry out outreach trips in different areas throughout the region. We held a campaign last year, and this event had an effect that people remember to this day. The number of believers in the local church in that area was few, but after the outreach event, the church could no longer accommodate the attendance. Among them are new leaders who help the pastor in some local ministries. They are constantly asking our church to come back again. I appreciate Faith Institute for giving me the skills, knowledge, and encouragement to pursue the vision God has given me.”
This is just one of the many stories demonstrating the impact of the training provided by the Faith Institute.
