AFCI India is focusing on two major ministry initiatives: Urban professionals and rural pastor training.
- Urban Professionals – By imparting a vision to urban believers and strengthening their convictions, the India team is encouraging Christian businessmen and women and equipping them to reach out in the workplace.
- Rural Pastor Training – A comprehensive plan has been initiated to train pastors in the rural areas of India, most of whom have no formal theological training. They are being trained in their own languages and in their communities.
The strategy and methodology for ministry is to establish AFCI teams in major Indian cities to minister in the local context. A few of these team members will periodically travel to rural areas to train pastors and missionaries to accelerate the spread of the Gospel.
