Raymond, the AFCI National Director in Guadeloupe writes,

“The month of May was a memorable month for Christians in Guadeloupe. Different evangelical confessions came together for a big march for the healing of our country. It was over 1000 christians in the streets of Pointe à Pitre, that were interceding, praising , dancing for the Glory of God. It was a big premiere in Guadeloupe and from testimonies, the people need this unity!

“For the past weeks, Guadeloupe was under major social crisis. The population has engaged in roadblocks all over the island. It was difficult, if not impossible to move. The young people set fire to several businesses to show their anger. The church did not want to remain silent in the face of this anger and suffering that we also experience. And it is from this context that various Christian leaders have taken the decision to set up this march of intercession for the healing of Guadeloupe. For the most part we had never worked together even though we had known each other for years. From this a committee, of which I am a member, was created to continue to maintain unity between our churches in Guadeloupe.”
