On September 8, 2023, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake devastated western Morocco. From its base in the two Spanish enclaves in northern Morocco, AFCI Spain was positioned to quickly respond by providing humanitarian relief to victims of the earthquake. 

Recognized as Christians, the team’s presence was not universally welcomed in Morocco by those hostile to the Gospel. Even in the face of a known death threat, AFCI Spain shared desperately needed supplies and the saving message of the Gospel with those who were impacted. The team reached villages where the destruction of over half the homes left nearly 400,000 people homeless.  

As AFCI Spain distributed food, shoes, blankets, and other necessities, many Moroccans responded to these acts of love, done in the name of Jesus, by surrendering their lives to follow Him. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to empower the ministry and witness of AFCI Spain.
