Bruce Dick, National Coordinator for EvangelismSHIFT USA, was profoundly moved in just the second weekend seminar with churches in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

At the conclusion of the first weekend seminar, John North, founder of EvangelismSHIFT, challenged each person to ask the Lord to bring to mind three individuals that we already know and care about, but who do not have a personal relationship with the Lord. When we returned a few weeks later for seminar two, John asked what God did and whom He brought to mind. One woman stood and said that a woman’s name came to mind that she had not seen in quite some time but for some reason her name did now, so she wrote her name down. The very next day, after writing down her name, THAT WOMAN called HER and said that SHE had come to mind, realizing they had not seen each other for a long time and would she like to get together for coffee! It gets even better!

After telling that story, a second woman said, “That very thing happened to me too!” And John North wisely pointed out, “Don’t you think that God was just waiting for you to ask Him whom to connect with, and when you did, He had already prepared those women’s hearts for connecting with you?” The atmosphere in the room was electric and each of us realized that we are so privileged to be part of a story that God has already been writing!

May God multiply stories and encounters just like this as He builds His Kingdom in the USA!
