Pastor Cristian Rivas, the National Director for the Dominican Republic, recently shared an inspiring story from a leadership conference at his church.

In October 2024, the church hosted a conference for pastors and church leaders. The men focused on “Heroes of the Faith,” while the women studied “Women of Valor.” Over 200 people attended each evening.

Pastor Cristian writes:

“During the conference, we received an inspiring sermon about the call of Moses, whom God called for a great mission when he was 80 years old. This message not only reminded us that it is never too late to respond to God’s call, but also deeply touched the hearts of those present.

“Among them was an 80-year-old man, visibly moved, who raised his hands upon hearing how God used Moses in the fullness of his life. With tears in his eyes and renewed faith, he publicly expressed his desire to preach the gospel and asked that they pray for him so that God would strengthen and guide him in this new stage of service.

“It was a moving moment that taught us that the willingness to serve God is ageless, and that He continues to call people from all stages of life to fulfill His purpose. This experience not only marked this brave man, but also inspired the entire congregation to reflect on the importance of being available to God at all times.”

Please pray with us that the Lord will use this man in “the fullness of his life” to change lives throughout his community.
