A Place to Change and Grow
The Faith Institute, a Bible school founded by AFCI in North Africa, trains men and women to share the hope of the Gospel in churches, homes, and the workplace. The Institute is changing not only communities throughout the region, but also the lives and families of the students who enroll. One man writes:
“Before joining the Faith Institute, I did not know the Bible well. I ministered and interpreted the Bible in my own way. The more courses I studied, the more I discovered that I was far away from the true teaching of the Bible. I worked to correct all the misconceptions and the wrong things I had been teaching my congregation.
“One of the courses that helped me much was the Christian Family. I started to see my true self and realized that I treated my wife and children harshly. I committed many mistakes towards my family. Due to this course and the family seminars, my way of dealing and treating my family has changed. I started teaching the Bible to my children and they became a role model for other children. One of my daughters became a Sunday School teacher for a kids’ class.
“I am teaching other families how to live in love and harmony. I do not want to see any family live the way I made my family to suffer. I assure parents around me and wherever I minister during my travels, that only God and His word can change them and give them hope. My vision is to see families live for Christ.
“The Faith Institute encouraged me to be people centered – seeking to reach out to others around me and not living for my own self. A neighbor was sick and he called me to pray for him. I prayed, and the Lord healed him. He became a believer and a member in the church. This incident encouraged me greatly and increased my trust in God’s power.
“I thank the Faith Institute for the knowledge and experience that I have obtained and all that I am now. I encourage church leaders and believers to join the Faith Institute – it is the place to change and grow. God has sent us this Institute to open our eyes. May God bless all the teachers and expand their borders.”
