On a recent ministry trip to Andalucia in Spain, the AFCI Slovakia team participated in a Sunday worship service for a local church that meets in the hotel where they were staying. At the end of the service, a woman approached the team and said,

“If you can answer my question, I will accept Jesus as my Savior. Why did God take my husband? He died several months ago and now I am alone with one child and a second is on the way. Why did this happen to me?”

These are questions that people have wrestled with for generations.

Pavle responded, “I am so sorry for your loss. I have also suffered loss – I lost a boy and a girl. I understand your pain and your question.”

For the next 25 minutes, Pavle shared from Scripture and his own experiences, explaining the power of the Gospel in a world of suffering. Having had her question answered, the woman put her faith in Jesus.

From personal encounters such as this, to channeling humanitarian aid into Ukraine, AFCI is continuing to impact lives throughout Europe.
