A year ago, AFCI started planning a two-year Emerging Leaders program to equip young leaders to be able to step up and take leadership roles in the future. The last week of July and the first week of August over 40 people from 6 nations in Asia and the Pacific will meet in Bangkok, Thailand for the beginning of this two-year process.
There will be seven facilitators from five nations leading the sessions. Then a two-year long mentoring program will be established with each young leader, to assist them as they seek to implement the leadership principles they are learning.
AFCI believes that learning is a life-long process, but intentional seminars and mentoring can greatly enhance all of our national ministries. For this reason, we eventually want to have ongoing Emerging Leaders training in each of AFCI’s five regions of the world.
