Volodymyr, otherwise known as Wally, believes in God’s church wholeheartedly. After praying for ways to serve God in a broader context than his local church, he was approached by one of the leaders of the Biblical Education by Extension (BEE) ministry in Ukraine to join the efforts of AFCI. Wally immediately saw AFCI’s mission as being consistent with God’s will for his life. Since joining the team, he has been able to incorporate the ministry of AFCI into the strategic mission of not only the local church he serves, but many others as well. With his gifts in teaching as well as translating between Ukrainian, Russian and English, Wally has become an intricate part of the AFCI international family.
Prior to his service with AFCI, he was a teacher in a private Christian school and teacher/translator for a regional Bible college in Ukraine. He currently serves part-time as an associate pastor of a local church in addition to leading AFCI’s ministry in Ukraine.
Since joining AFCI he has translated AFCI’s LifeWorks materials into Ukrainian and used them effectively to start many evangelistic groups. He has also been at the forefront of establishing a Family Ministry which is helping Christians and reaching non-Christians with the Gospel.
His wife Natasha and two sons are very involved in ministry for the Lord and support Wally’s efforts at AFCI. In his spare time he loves reading and traveling.
