Eugenio Berruezo has a long history of Christian ministry both in Spain and around the world. He gave his life to Christ in 1971 while attending church with friends from high school. He sensed a call to full-time ministry in 1975, but it was not until 1979 that he acted on this and joined the ministry of Youth for Christ.
Two years later he enrolled in the Bible Institute and Theological Seminary (IBSTE) to study theology in a full four-year course. In the third year of his studies he started a church and was also married to Sara Ais, who had grown up in a strong evangelical family where her father was a pastor.
Eugenio joined AFCI in 1992 and has served as National Director of Spain as well as European Director. After turning over his role as European Director, Eugenio started the Instituto Jetro with the aim of providing much needed training to Spanish-speaking pastors and church leaders worldwide. Drawing from his rich experiences in ministry, he is now helping train a future generation of leaders.
Eugenio is married to Sara and they have one grown son.
